Spherical roller bearings are a kind of rolling bearings with excellent performance and wide applications. The following mainly introduces their content from aspects such as structure, characteristics, and applications: Structure Inner ring: It is closely matched with the shaft. There are two raceways on the inner ring. The shape and size of the raceways are designed to have a good contact with the rolling elements (spherical rollers), so as to ensure the effective transmission of loads and guide the movement of the rolling elements. The inner diameter of the inner ring is determined according to the diameter of the shaft it is matched with, in order to achieve reliable installation and operation. Outer ring: Usually installed in the hole of the bearing seat or other supporting components, the raceway of the outer ring is spherical. This is a key structural feature that enables the spherical roller bearing to achieve the self-aligning function. The spherical raceway allows the inner ring and the rolling elements to tilt relative to the outer ring within a certain range, thus compensating for the influence caused by the deflection deformation of the shaft or installation errors. Rolling elements: Generally, they are symmetrical double-row spherical rollers. The shape of the rollers is specially designed, usually drum-shaped or similar, to adapt to the spherical raceway of the outer ring and the double raceways of the inner ring. The rolling elements roll between the raceways of the inner and outer rings, bearing and transmitting radial and axial loads. Cage: Its function is to evenly separate the two rows of rolling elements to prevent collisions and friction between the rollers. At the same time, it guides the rolling elements to roll correctly in the raceways, ensuring the smooth operation of the bearing. Common materials of the cage include metals (such as stamped steel, solid copper alloy, etc.) and non-metals (such as plastics, etc.).
